Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s what our users ask most often.

What is JumpBar?

JumpBar is a tiny Windows utility that adds on-screen buttons to instantly scroll to the top or bottom of any active window.
It's lightweight, always available, and designed to make scrolling effortless.

Which apps does JumpBar work with?

JumpBar works with most scrollable apps on Windows — including web browsers, Word, Excel, Notepad, and many others.
If the app supports scrolling via keyboard (like Home/End), JumpBar will likely work with it.

How do I customize JumpBar?

Right-click the tray icon and open the Settings Menu.
You can:

Show/hide buttons.

Adjust button size and opacity.

Enable or disable scroll-down button.

Assign middle-click behavior.

Start JumpBar with Windows.

Why is JumpBar not visible after launch?

If your screen resolution changed or JumpBar was previously moved off-screen, it may load out of view.
Try changing the resolution back or restarting the app to reset its position.

Is JumpBar safe to use?

Yes! JumpBar doesn’t access your files, internet, or personal data.
It simply simulates safe, standard scroll commands — similar to pressing Ctrl+Home or Ctrl+End.

Will antivirus software block JumpBar?

JumpBar is clean and safe.
However, in rare cases, overprotective antivirus software may block unknown apps. If this happens, add JumpBar to your antivirus's exclusion or allow list.

Does JumpBar auto-start with Windows?

Yes — if enabled in the settings, JumpBar will launch automatically every time you start your computer.

Which versions of Windows are supported?

JumpBar works on:

Windows 10 (all editions)

Windows 11 (including latest updates)

Is there a free trial?

Yes! JumpBar offers a 7-day free trial with full features — no restrictions.

Is JumpBar available on Mac or Linux?

Currently, JumpBar is only available for Windows.
If enough users request a Mac version, we’ll consider building one.
